Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005
Accessibility Standards for Customer Service,
Ontario Regulation 429/07
The customer service standard is a mandated under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). The standard requires that Community Living Campbellford/Brighton’s policies, practices and procedures be guided by principles of dignity, independence and equality of opportunity. The training helps improve service delivery to people with disabilities who come from diverse backgrounds.
A disability is considered as “a condition which may restrict a person’s mental, sensory or mobility functions to undertake or perform a task in the same way as a person who does not have a disability. (Including, but not limited to arthritis, asthma, communication disabilities, diabetes, developmental disabilities, hearing loss, heart disease, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, low vision, mental health conditions, migraine, multiple sclerosis or being Deaf.”

- Thanksgiving Day – Monday October 9
- Christmas Day – Monday December 25
- Boxing Day – Tuesday December 26
- Holiday Shut Down – Friday December 22 end of day until January 2, 2024
