What is Adult Respite?
Everyone needs a change of scenery now and then.
Respite Services provide unpaid caregivers of adults with planned breaks.
This services gives caregivers time away from their regular responsibilities, a chance to re-energize and an opportunity to pursue their own interests.
What Respite Service options are available?
Respite guests may receive services in the:
- Beautiful home settings located in Campbellford or Cobourg
- Comfort of their own home
- Community
This is a great opportunity for Respite guests to try something new and exciting based on personal choice and interest!
Who is eligible for Adult Respite Services?
Adult Respite Service is available to people over 18 years of age who have an intellectual disability.
Respite Services at Community Living Campbellford/Brighton are available through government-funded programs AND on a fee-for-service basis.
Costs include accommodation, meals, mileage and recreation expenses (if desired) during the stay.

What are the benefits of Respite Services?
Respite presents an excellent opportunity for people to increase their participation in the community, cultivate supportive community relationships, develop skills and abilities and gain greater independence. For some, Outside-the- Home Respite is a stepping stone to more independent living!

How do I apply to the Community Homes program?
The Community Homes program at Community Living Campbellford/Brighton is available through government-funding AND on a fee-for-service basis.
