People First Northumberland - Inclusion Northumberland

People First Northumberland (PFN) is a self-advocate group that promotes the Rights, Abilities, and Strengths of people who have a developmental disability throughout the community by:

Accepting speaking engagements, hosting fun social events, organizing annual conferences, and coaching community members about inclusivity.
Serving as an advisory committee to the Inclusion Northumberland Board of Directors.
Acting as a resource for people who are receiving developmental services.
Fundraising to increase membership and support the committee’s ongoing advocacy efforts.

People First Northumberland aims to see all citizens as respected, valued and participating members of their community. We are invited by schools, parent clubs, churches, community clubs, and more, to present and discuss self-advocacy, equality, teamwork, and inclusion.

Join People First Northumberland

Even if you are not receiving services from Inclusion Northumberland, you can join the People First Northumberland committee. New members are important to ensuring that PFN grows and remains focused on the issues that are important to people with developmental disabilities.
